Victor Malsom is a fine arts photographer based in West Michigan, originally from the Great Plains region of Colorado.
His work draws from personal experiences to discuss gender, sexual trauma, and sexuality. All of his art seeks to make the viewer become aware of the voyeurism of the medium by confronting the idea that the viewer is an active participant in the act of photography, not simply an outside observer to it.
A lover of all things grotesque and vulgar, much of his fine artwork seeks to portray that even in the most gross of artworks there lies some inherent beauty in it through the elevation of photographing it.
